Gavin Duffy goes to Queensland

I once had a discussion about who would might have caught the most waves ever on the Hoax Coast? I came down to Phil Trigger or Gavin Duffy. Someone else thought Mick Pierce.

I started surfing with Duffy in 1974, we were Davey’s Bay locals, and he never stopped. He’s the oldest grommet on the coast and, along the way, he has been a stalwart at the Peninsula Surfriders Club: committee man, graphic designer and creator of their publications and web sites for a long time and long time occupant of both the car-parks at Gunna, which is pretty much his favourite place. Duffy is moving to Queensland to connect with family and warmer waters. He’ll be missed on the Hoax Coast.

Disclaimer: Gavin Duffy is the creator and co-editor of the Hoax Coast site. Warrick is still sticking to the story.
