Vintage Surf Day at Point Leo, on November 12 2017, was a packed affair with perfect weather and plenty to see. It was a bit of a battle between classic Kombis and classic surfboards and some great displays on hand and plenty of stories about the good old days floating around as well.
It was nice to see some of the displays including a bit of history with some key dates and all around there seemed to be a growing awareness of the significant local surfing history on display. There are some of the surfboards on display included now in the Boards section here, including the shots below.
I'll try to add more over the next few weeks, including some of the stories that emerged.
